New Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes says he won't change his style.
Some ex-players have complained about Fernandes's gesticulating to teammates, with some even demanding he be sold.
"I think I have to be the same," he insisted. "because that is what has brought me to be the captain at this moment and that is what the manager has decided because he likes the way I am and the way I act and train and the way I play. So I have to keep doing the same things.
"You have to improve stuff in your game day by day but I am happy with what I have been doing and I have to keep that standard."
"We want to fight for the titles," Fernandes continued. "We want to go for all the trophies that we are involved in. I have said that ever since I arrived at the club even in the worst period.
"We want to go for everything that we are involved in and the manager has made everyone aware that this is the standards of the club and what the club deserves what we have to set for ourselves to be a Man Utd player and it has to be realistic until we can't do it anymore.
"We have to focus on ourselves. I know this sounds like always but it is what it is. We have to set the standard for ourselves and the standards of last season weren't enough to win more trophies and we have to do something more to get those trophies."
