FIFA will likely apply Brentford star Ivan Toney's eight-month ban from football worldwide.

The striker is not able to train or play for many months due to violations of betting rules.

Per The Mail, the Football Association has not only banned him from playing for eight months, but will seek to have that ban set for the whole world.

The 27-year-old may have been thinking of a short-term loan to play and stay sharp during the domestic ban.

But it is very likely that FIFA will agree to the FA's request, as they did when former Tottenham director Fabio Paratici was banned in Italy.

Toney may not be able to get his dream move to a Champions League club due to being unable for several months of the new season.
