FILINVEST Hospitality, a unit of Filinvest Development Corp., has announced leadership transition in a bid to strengthen the firm’s industry position and grow its portfolio of hotels, resorts and lifestyle experiences.

The new top management team consists of Francis Gotianun as chief executive officer, James Montenegro as president and chief operating officer and Ria Sarosa as first vice president for hotel and restaurant operations.

Gotianun said the company was aiming to become the “best” Filipino hospitality company.

“We want to have the brands that people admire, we want to be the place where people want to work, we want to be the place where people want to stay. We want our guests to be delighted, and we want to have pride around the work that we do.

Montenegro, for his part, highlighted the importance of operational execution, saying the company has spent the past two years building capabilities and cultivating a disciplined, forward-thinking culture.

“Execution has always been one of our core principles,” he said.

Sarosa said translating the company’s vision into everyday guest experiences required embedding brand promises into consistent service behaviors.

“We turn our brand promises into trainable, scalable service behaviors, which become embedded in our service culture. This culture is then replicated and translated into service delivery, ensuring superior and excellent guest experiences,” she added.

Under the new leadership structure, the company will continue building on its established hotel brands while exploring opportunities in key leisure and business destinations.

Filinvest Development’s share price rose by 19 centavos to close at P4.60 each on Friday.
