
MANILA, Philippines — Filipino choreographer JM Yrreverre has joined the growing list of Filipino creatives making waves in the global K-pop industry after contributing to the choreography of “Boompala,” the latest track by K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM.
Yrreverre shared the milestone on Instagram, posting clips from the music video choreography along with photos taken during rehearsals with the group’s members.
“@le_sserafim BOOMPALA. So honored to have contributed to the choreography for their comeback,” he wrote in the caption.
“Such a dream come true for me to choreograph for K-pop groups and it finally happened. To represent the Filipino talent on this kind of platform — Still in disbelief. Waited and stayed quiet about this for the past 3 months and now its finally out and can share the news!” he added.
“Big shout out to my skeleton for powering through with such a short span of time. This is just the beginning agh!” Yrreverre continued.
Known online as Jm Yrreverre, the Filipino choreographer made his K-pop debut through “Boompala,” a high-energy performance track that features a playful and modern interpretation of the iconic Macarena-inspired arm movements.
Yrreverre worked alongside international choreographers Soyeon Amy and Mia Frye in creating the routine, which has already drawn attention among fans for its fast-paced and catchy choreography.
Before entering the K-pop scene, Yrreverre had already built a strong following online for his energetic dance videos and viral choreography content. He is also a member of internationally recognized dance collective The A-Team.
LE SSERAFIM debuted in 2022 under HYBE and Source Music and is composed of Sakura, Kim Chaewon, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha and Hong Eunchae. The group is known for hits including “Fearless,” “Antifragile,” “Smart,” “Crazy” and“Spaghetti.”
