Kudat: A Filipino man in his 20s was found dead on Tuesday after allegedly falling from a vessel at the Ko-Nelayan jetty here on Tuesday.
Kudat Fire and Rescue Station chief PPgB Darikson Galanang said the station received an emergency call from the police at 10.37 pm on Monday.
The victim was reported missing after the incident and was later found by fishermen who dived into the waters around the location where he was believed to have fallen.
Darikson said the victim was pronounced dead by a medical officer before his body was handed over to the police for further action.
A search and rescue operation used surface search methods, while the victim’s friend also tried to locate him by diving but was unsuccessful.
