
The National Theatre Arts Society (NTAS) has honoured filmmaker Dr Harjit Singh for his contribution to Punjabi language, heritage and arts, during an event organised at the Bhasha Bhavan Complex here today.
The NTAS director, Pran Sabharwal, a Padma Shri recipient, along with prominent film personalities, including Devinder Pal and film historian Bhim Raj Garg, presented Dr Harjit Singh with the “Punjabi Bhasha ate Film Jagat Da Chamkda Sitara” award.
Sabharwal highlighted the rich contribution of Dr Harjit Singh to the fields of Punjabi drama, television, media and filmmaking. He also spoke about his long-standing association with films spanning nearly five decades as a filmmaker.
