Hollyoaks star Paul Danan has died aged 46, according to an announcement by his management team on Thursday, 16 January.
Danan portrayed Sol Patrick on the Channel 4 soap between 1997 and 2001. He went on to appear on Celebrity Love Island and Celebrity Big Brother.
The actor’s final Instagram post before his death showed him preparing to audition for the role of Orsino in William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.
“How beautiful and exhilarating it is when you get stuck into tackling his work. It’s an amazing experience! I forget sometimes how much I need to be awoken,” Danan wrote.
