The German Football Federation posted a profit of €19.2 million ($22.1 million) in the 2025 financial year, accounts published on Monday showed.

"Economic prudence will also be the basis for our actions in the future," president Bernd Neuendorf said in a statement after previous years of financial worries at the federation.

"The financial leeway we have gained forms the basis for investments."

Germany hosted the men's European Championship in 2024 and will stage the women's equivalent in 2029.

Treasurer Stephan Grunwald added: "We are living in economically challenging times. But the successful 2025 annual result shows that the DFB is on a stable course. It remains our ambitious goal to be debt-free at the end of 2029."
