SEMPORNA: A 26-year-old man was fined RM20,000 in default six months’ jail for having 2,080 litres of petrol without a licence.
Abdullah Asadan pleaded guilty, Wednesday, before Session Court Judge Ahmad Faizadh Yahaya.
The accused was found having the controlled goods without a permit when he was detained by police, off Singgah Mata waters, Pulau Bum Bum.
When detained, Abdullah was found having 2,080 litres of petrol placed inside 70 jerry cans inside the wooden boat. The accused was also found not having any license or permit to own the controlled item.

Semporna Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) Chief Enforcement officer, Dr. Jong Jee Leong, who also conducted the prosecution said, KPDN Semporna will not compromise with any activities involving controlled items and will continue to increase enforcement to curb any illegal activities involving the controlled items.
