Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano concedes he was left angry after their 1-1 draw with Juventus.
Juve had the lead through Arkadiusz Milik, while Mattia Perin saved a Luka Jovic penalty in the first half. But Christian Kouame struck after halftime to see Fiorentina earn a point.
“I'm between angry and regretful," said Italiano afterwards. "In these matches you have to score when the opponent is on the ropes. We created a lot but we have to attack the penalty area better and we have to score goals.
“The performance remains. We played good games in these five fixtures and collected little, I hope then we can collect more.
“They asked me why I took off Kouame, I explained that he asked for the change, that's why I took him off.
“The boys gave their souls today, despite the great heat. Like against Napoli, but even there we only got a draw. However, we certainly played a good game.
“I'm sorry, because we work for these matches here. We know how to hurt the opponent, but then in the match we create particular situations."
Italiano also commented on Jovic's missed penalty.
“We also missed a penalty, I'm disappointed because it could've given us the three points. Jovic we're waiting for him, the mistake isn't a problem, we're waiting for him.
“He has to keep working and have the right attitude. It's normal that there are moments of ups and downs."
