LAHAD DATU: A hotel here has been ordered to close after it was found to have failed to comply with the fire-hazard abatement notice issued by the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM).
JBPM Sabah Director Abdul Razak Muda said the decision was made by the Sessions Court Judge on Monday.
He said the closure order was issued under Section 13, Fire Services Act 1988 (Act 341).
Abdul Razak said this premises has been operating for such a long time and the fire-hazard abatement inspection was carried out on January 11, 2021.
