
LAHAD DATU: A morning fire destroyed a semi permanent house at Kampung Sapagaya, here, on Sunday.
District Fire and Rescue station chief, Sumsoa Rashid said his department received a distress call following the fire incident at 6.32am.
A team of 16 firefighters was deployed to the scene in a fire engine, EMRS vehicle and a Four Wheel Drive (4WD).
Upon arrival, the team reported that the fire involved a semi permanent house measuring 20X15 feet.
The team carried out the operation to extinguish the fire using a stream with a sprout and managed to put the fire under control at 7.10am.
The house was 100 per cent destroyed in fire, however, no casualty reported in the incident.
The team called off the operation at 8.35am after ensuring there was no other danger at the scene.
