
MANILA, Philippines — A fire that struck a commercial establishment in Binondo, Manila, on Friday was declared fire out.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region (BFP-NCR), the fire at the corner of Jaboneros and Asuncion streets was first reported at 2:46 p.m.
The blaze was raised to first alarm at 2:48 p.m. before escalating to second alarm at 5:09 p.m.
Firefighters placed the fire under control at 5:42 p.m., and was officially declared fire out at 6:02 p.m.
Authorities said responding units remained on site throughout the operation to prevent the fire from spreading and to ensure public safety.
An investigation is ongoing as of posting time.
