Kota Kinabalu: A two-storey semi-permanent house in Kampung Warisan, Inanam, was destroyed in a fire on Saturday.
The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 3.20am, with firefighters from the Lintas Fire and Rescue Station arriving at the scene 10 minutes later after travelling about 5km.
The fire destroyed the house, while firefighters used two 200ft hose lines with three water jets supplied by a fire engine tank and a nearby hydrant to bring the blaze under control at 4.07am.
No casualties were reported, and the operation, involving 21 firefighters with assistance from the police and Sabah Electricity, ended at 5.05am after the area was declared safe.
