Neighbours called the fire department to report the struggling animal on Monday 27 November at Pike Lake, in the Minneapolis suburb of Prior Lake.
The fire department showed up quickly and executed a dramatic rescue. They quickly put on their protective gear and carefully crawled across the ice to the buck so they could push it to safety.
