Kota Kinabalu: Firefighters rescued a man who was found on a streetlight pole in Kampung Sembulan Lama here on Monday.
The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 11.06am and deployed 14 personnel to the scene, about 2km from the station.
Upon arrival, the team found the individual on the pole and believed to be in distress.
Firefighters carried out efforts to persuade the man to come down safely.
The individual was successfully brought to safety and handed over to police and family members for further action.
The operation was brought under control at 11.28am and concluded four minutes later after firefighters ensured the area was safe.
