SINGAPORE, Oct 12 — Prevailing weather and haze conditions have forced Firefly to extend flight cancellations between Subang and Singapore’s Seletar Airport until October 14, with affected passengers being offered alternative Malaysia Airlines flights, subject to seat availability, or full refunds.

Firefly, a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, had earlier cancelled all scheduled flights between Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang and Seletar Airport from October 10 to 12 as a precautionary safety measure.

In an advisory on Monday, the airline said the extended cancellations involved six daily services: FY3122 and FY3123, FY3124 and FY3125, FY3126 and FY3127, FY3128 and FY3129, FY3130 and FY3131, as well as FY3132 and FY3133.

“Affected passengers are being contacted and reallocated onto available Malaysia Airlines services via the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore route, subject to seat availability.

“Passengers who opt not to proceed with the reallocated flights are eligible for a full refund, which will be credited back to the original payment method within 30 working days,” it said.

Meanwhile, Singapore’s air quality remained unhealthy on Monday, with the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) ranging from 118 to 155 as of 7 pm, according to the National Environment Agency (NEA).

Readings stood at 155 in the central and west regions, 139 in the east, 122 in the south and 118 in the north. — Bernama
