BEAUFORT: The Fire and Rescue Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Emergency and Trauma Unit of Hospital Beaufort to train and refresh the knowledge of staff on medical aid.
District Fire and Rescue Department Chief Muhammad Hasbullah Nenggok said the department personnel would be shown how to help injured victims in accidents or fires.
This would enhance their knowledge in helping injured victims to ensure that they would not become critical when bringing the victims to the hospital.
The fire brigade would learn how to save victims and know what to do when they are faced with badly injured victims.
Muhammad Hasbullah said in future they would go to the hospital to learn more about patients management in theory and practice.
