
Tuaran: A team from the Health Ministry had to call in the Fire and Rescue Department to help lift an obese man who collapsed after suffocating in his house in Kg Kota, here, Monday.
Following the 5.55am incident, the 37-year-old man, weighing 160kg, had to be lifted out of his home and sent to Tuaran Hospital for further treatment.
Tuaran District Fire and Rescue Station Chief Mohamad Nor Amit said that they received a call from health officials at 5.58am.
A seven-man team was dispatched to the scene along with the Emergency Medical Rescue Services team.

The team assisted in lifting the man with a stretcher before he was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
