
FIRST lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the launch of the country’s first Charity Bone Marrow Transplant Unit dedicated to providing free, high-quality medical procedures and critical care for pediatric cancer patients.
The first lady led the grand opening of the specialized facility at the Philippine General Hospital in Manila on Friday.
“The most beautiful miracles often begin with kindness, compassion and hearts willing to help. Grateful to witness the opening of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Philippine General Hospital,” the first lady said in a statement posted on her social media on Saturday.
“For cancer patients, it offers renewed hope and the chance for more children to grow up healthy and simply enjoy being kids again,” she added.
Araneta-Marcos lauded the collective compassion of the health care workers, donors, and partners who turned this life-saving vision into a lasting beacon of hope for vulnerable Filipino families.
“My heartfelt congratulations to the movers and shakers behind the I Want To Share Foundation, our dedicated health care workers, generous partners, donors and every kind soul whose vision and compassion made this possible,” she said.
“Your kindness will touch countless lives for generations to come,” the first lady added.
