Prime Video lit up CCXP Brazil as fans packed the Thunder Stage to witness the long-awaited announcement of hit superhero series’ return. The streamer revealed that Season 5 of The Boys will also be its final season, ahead of a teaser drop.
Showrunner and executive producer Eric Kripke appeared on stage alongside cast members Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, Tomer Capone and Colby Minifie. The panel reflected on some of the most shocking and beloved moments from the series before unveiling the official teaser for the upcoming season, offering fans their first glimpse at the closing chapter.
Final Run
The multi-Emmy Award-winning show will launch with two episodes on 8 April, followed by weekly instalments leading up to the series finale on 20 May 2026. Season Five will be available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
In the final season, Homelander’s grip on the world tightens as his unpredictable, egotistical rule reaches new heights. Hughie, Mother’s Milk and Frenchie find themselves imprisoned in a so-called “Freedom Camp”, while Annie fights to spark resistance against overwhelming Supe control.
With Kimiko missing and Butcher resurfacing with a dangerous plan involving a virus capable of eliminating all Supes, the stakes escalate dramatically. What follows is set to alter the world — and every character — irreversibly.
Based on the New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys is developed by Eric Kripke, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Michaela Starr, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Judalina Neira, Jessica Chou, Gabriel Garcia, Ori Marmur, Ken F. Levin and Jason Netter.
