
SEMPORNA: Five men were injured when the Proton Iswara they were travelling in skidded and rammed onto a lamp post at Kampung Kubang Jaya, here, on Monday.
One of the victims aged between 17 and 24 was seriously injured, while four others suffered minor injuries.
A State Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said the department received a distress call following the 4.53pm incident and seven personnel from Semporna Fire and Rescue station rushed to the scene in a fire engine and an EMRS vehicle.
“The team reported that four of the victims have been sent to the hospital by members of public before their arrival.

The operation ended at 5.52pm after the firemen ensured that there were no other dangers at the scene.
