KUALA LUMPUR: A devastating house fire in Raub early today claimed the lives of five family members, including a Maktab Rendah Sains MARA student.

The victims were identified as Ruby Adira Batrisya Mohd Alawi, her parents Mohd Alawi Muhammad, 56, and Zaleha Adam @ Ibrahim, 44, and her siblings Ruby Adlina Banin, 14, and Ruby Azyan Barizah, 10.

Ruby Adira Batrisya was awaiting her Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination results at the time of the tragedy.

Two other siblings, aged 19 and 15, survived as they were residing in their college and school dormitories during the incident.
