LABUAN: The multi-billion ringgit Pan Borneo Highway will bring no joy to people in Sabah and Labuan if they continue to suffer from water and electricity disruptions, sometimes for weeks and months.
“It has affected Sabah’s image as a preferred destination for investment,” said former Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament, Datuk Hiew King Chiu.
He said it must also be remembered that the development of the Pan Borneo Highway caused serious environmental issues as it was blamed for floods, landslides and losses due to hill cutting and other works.
