Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is reluctant to fast-track youth teamer Troy Parrott.
The youngster impressed for Ireland U21 and Mick McCarthy says he needs to start for Spurs to get into the Irish first-team.
Poch said, He is more consistent training with the first-team but he needs time and we need to be relaxed, not put his name in the spotlight. He is still so young and the best way to help him is to be calm and relax.
He is going to be involved with the U23s and sometimes he will train with us. It is a process and he needs to be relaxed without too much pressure.
"The fans are excited when they see me score in training on Twitter!
The fans are so nice and so sensitive about many things. They are always trying to discover youngsters but there are still so many senior players above him [Parrott]."
