  • Anti-corruption protesters set fire to the house of Nepal’s former prime minister Sharma Oli on Tuesday.
  • The property of another former prime minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, and political party headquarters were also targeted during the unrest.
  • The protests, which led to Mr Oli stepping down, were initially triggered by a government ban on social media platforms including Facebook, X, and YouTube.
  • The government subsequently lifted the social media ban after protests intensified, resulting in the deaths of at least 19 people.
