PETALING JAYA: Flash floods were reported in several areas around Section 7 and i-City here following heavy rain and thunderstorms this afternoon.
Several social media users posted updates about the situation, with some advising motorists to avoid the affected routes.
Among the areas reportedly affected were roads connecting i-City towards Sogo, as well as routes leading out towards the Federal Highway.
A post uploaded on Threads at about 4.25pm reported that water had risen along the affected stretch and urged motorists to take alternative routes.
Meanwhile, flash floods were also reported in Sri Indah, Seri Kembangan, amid the adverse weather.
Motorists travelling through the affected areas have been advised to exercise caution and prioritise safety while on the road.
