
TELUPID: The number of flood evacuees in four districts in Sabah rose to 1,641 from 594 families compared to 1,532 from 560 families on Tuesday morning, said the State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN).
The number of flood evacuees in Telupid district increased to 335 from 93 families, compared to 226 from 59 families on Tuesday morning.
Pitas had 1,152 evacuees from 450 families, Paitan 111 (from 40 families) and Lahad Datu 43 (from 11 families).
“Telupid has the highest number of relief centres, at eight, followed by Paitan (three), Pitas (two) and Lahad Datu (one),” said JPBM.
It was reported that 14 roads in Telupid were affected and inaccessible by cars.
The affected roads are in Kampung Gana Jati, Kampung Biru-Biru, Kampung Terasak, Kampung Ansuan, Kampung Baba, Kampung Berayung, Kampung Lidung, Kampung Tembidung-Bidung, Kampung Lubuk Dungun, Kampung Pinunuakan, Kampung Togoron, Kampung Kiabau, Kampung Sualok and Kampung Rancangan Nangoh.
