NABAWAN: Residents from five villages in Pamuntarian, here, were unable to go to town Wednesday morning to sell their agricultural produce as the roads were impassable due to flooding.
The villagers involved were Kampung Ulu Mosopoh, Salarom Baru, Nakuyung, Pamuntarian and Tiang.
Most of the villagers will sell their agricultural produce at the weekly Tamu in town on every Wednesday.
However, they were unable to do so because the Pamuntarian road was flooded due to the overflow of the Pamuntarian river following heavy downpour on Tuesday.

At least six locations along the Pamuntarian road were flooded and could not be passed.
In addition, students from SMK Nabawan could not attend school either.
Meanwhile, several teachers who commute from Keningau and Nabawan to SK Pementerian and Ulu Mosopoh were unable to do so due to the flood.
However, the District Education Officer in a message on the District Natural Disaster Committee WhatsApp group said that both schools were open as usual even though there were some teachers and students who were absent.
District Civil Defence Officer Lt. (PA) Raival T. Moujip said the APM made periodic monitoring as soon as it received instructions from District Officer, Peter Jiton.
He said apart from Kampung Pamuntarian, two other villages, Kampung Malampoi and Lima, were also hit by floods but the roads were passable.
“Only Kampung Pamuntarian and the surrounding villages were cut off until Wednesday evening,” he said.
