KENINGAU: Some 149 residents affected by flash floods in Kampung Senagang in the Liawan constituency have been moved to a temporary evacuation centre at the village’s church hall.
Liawan Community Development Leader Fred Toyong said heavy rain from around 5pm on Wednesday to 3.50am on Thursday resulted in several rivers swelling and overflowing, inundating eight other villages in the Liawan area, apart from Kg Senagang.
He said the villages were Kampung Kauran, Banjar, Pampang, Lingkudau, Bariawa, Contoh, Bakiau and Masak.
