
TELUPID: Some 318 flood victims have been evacuated to Temporary Evacuation Centres (PPS) as the flood situation in the district worsened, with water levels continuing to rise.
Seven PPS have been set up since the floods began on Wednesday.
Advertisement (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});The centres were Balai Raya Kampung Mauu, Masjid Lama Kampung Gana Jati, Dewan Kampung Rancangan Nangoh, Dewan Kampung Bambangan, the house of the Chairman of Kampung Rancangan Cocos, Masjid Kampung Tembidong-Bidong and Dewan Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Pamol.
“Among the worst-affected villages were Kampung Kiabau, Pekan Telupid, Kampung Perancangan Nangoh, Kampung Biru-Biru, Kampung Rumidi, Kampung Entilibon, Kampung Minusuh, Kampung Sanan, Kampung Sualok, Kampung Gana Jati and Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Maliau.

Rescue operations were ongoing as the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) worked alongside other enforcement agencies.

For the record, these villages were also hit by flooding in January.
