Kota Kinabalu: The Deputy Division Chief of Parti Warisan Kimanis, Tailin Mainan, is surprised over GRS Assemblyman for Sindumin, Datuk Dr Yusof Yacoob’s, repeated pleas to relocate Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) to Kimanis despite the State Government’s stand that it is not a priority.

He said the people expect the State Government to use its resources, funds and energy to solve the perennial flooding, poor condition miserable infrastructures and irregular electricity supply at Bongawan and Membakut rather than talk about KKIA’s relocation.

“Several areas in Bongawan and Membakut were repeatedly inundated with mud due to flooding this year. So far, we have yet to see any action by the GRS-led State Government on the de-siltation and widening works that many believe should be done on the Membakut River.
