Foetus found in Bukit Jalil garbage truck shows signs of trauma

A 25-WEEK-OLD foetus was discovered in a garbage truck in Bukit Jalil, prompting a police investigation into the disturbing find.

Cheras District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Aidil Bolhassan, revealed that authorities have already recorded statements from four individuals in connection with the case.

"The condition of the foetus when discovered showed injuries to the abdominal area, a fractured skull, and a severed umbilical cord," he said in a statement on Friday.

The discovery was made by sanitation workers, who alerted authorities to the grim find.

According to reports, police received notification of the incident at 12:51 p.m. on Thursday.

The foetus, identified as male, measured 35 centimetres in length.

Police have appealed to the public for any information that may assist the investigation.
