Wesley Fofana has revealed how Reece James tapped him up to join Chelsea over a month ago.
The Frenchman completed a £70m transfer from Leicester City on Wednesday.
"I spoke with Reece James and Edouard Mendy on Instagram. Cucurella, every player, not just one," Fofana told Chelsea's in-house media.
"Reece James messaged me on Instagram one month ago. [He said] 'You come and play with me at right-back?' I like this, it's good for my confidence. He's my guy now."
Chelsea's transfer outlay this summer now exceeds £250m.
