Hello there! It seems there's news about a planned rally in Ipoh, and the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Comm Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, has made some statements regarding it.
According to Comm Ayob Khan, stern action will be taken against the organisers if they do not follow the law. Comm Ayob Khan emphasized that any party wishing to hold a rally must apply for a permit from the police at least five days in advance. In the permit application, the organisers are required to seek permission from the owner of the premises or the designated area.
The deadline for obtaining the permit for the planned rally on Saturday, September 16, is September 11. The area mentioned for the rally is in front of the Sogo shopping mall. Aside from the police permit, the organisers must also obtain approval from the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the Sogo management.
Comm Ayob Khan stressed that if the organisers fail to adhere to the rules and regulations, appropriate action will be taken against them as stipulated by the law. It was reported that Perikatan Nasional Youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari announced that the movement would hold a peaceful assembly in front of a shopping mall on September 16 at 2 p.m. as part of their "Save Malaysia" campaign. In summary, the police have made it clear that any planned rally must comply with the law.
The organisers are required to obtain a permit from the police, seek permission from the premises owner or relevant authorities, and adhere to the specified regulations. Failure to comply may lead to legal consequences. It is important for the organisers to apply for permits and seek the necessary approvals within the set time frame. I hope this clarifies the situation for you!
