Located in Seputeh, Taman Desa has been a popular destination for Malaysian foodies for decades. If you’re on the lookout for hidden gems, here are our picks of where to eat in Taman Desa.

Developed in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, Taman Desa was made to be a quiet suburb away from Kuala Lumpur. Today, it remains a lively neighbourhood for many city dwellers. With older terrace houses, condominiums, and apartments, there is a strong community that lives and works around the area. This paved the way for many long-established eateries.

Taman Desa is a small residential suburb in proximity to Mid Valley, Taman Seputeh, Old Klang Road, and Pantai Dalam. Most of the neighbourhood’s popular eateries are located in Taman Danau Desa. Among them are kopitiams, Chinese restaurants, and cafes that have an old-school charm about them.

One such place is the iconic Faber Towers, a commercial hub for the community and home to its most popular restaurants. You can visit places like Koyaku Japanese Dining & Grill and The Butcher’s Table. Not only is it a great spot for food, but there’s also a grocer, gym, and bar to complete your little circle of life.

Despite its relatively small area, there are numerous options for where to stay in Taman Desa. From local delights, Japanese grill, and the finest cafes, discover what this charming neighbourhood has to offer.
