
KOTA KINABALU: A restaurant in Inanam caught fire early this morning.
The emergency call was received at 1.07am, and fire engines arrived on site within five minutes.
The fire, which affected a permanent food storage area, had already been partially extinguished by staff using fire extinguishers before firefighters arrived.
One individual, a 46-year-old man, complained of shortness of breath and was treated by emergency responders but declined hospital transfer.
The operation was brought under control by 1.18am and fully concluded a minute later after ensuring the site was safe from further hazards.
