Football requires constant directional changes and sustained movement, it addresses multiple physiological and psychological development needs simultaneously. As a former football team player, and Chairman of Parent Teacher Association (PIBG) for several primary and secondary schools, I discovered a typical children football match involves continuous low-to-moderate intensity running punctuated by high-density spirits. This training model improves a child's maximal oxygen uptake (VO2 max), strengthens the heart muscle, and optimizes resting metabolic efficiency. The weight-bearing nature of running, jumping, and striking a ball stimulates osteoblast activity. According to my senior alumni & coach, Dato' M. Karatu, “This process significantly builds bone mineral density during critical growth windows, protecting children against skeletal weaknesses later in life. It simultaneously strengthens core stabilizers, quadriceps, hamstrings & calves. Rap[id tracking a moving ball while dodging opponents focus brain to calculate complex spatial equations. This will rapidly accelerate a child's dynamic balance, agility, fast-twitch muscle fiber recruitment and peripheral.”

As a grandfather to Izz Fayyadh bin Mohd Faiz who is a junior member of Ortan FC Cyberjaya (a highly active youth, football academy, especially ages 5 to 15), I realized at the basic (5 to 9) stage, focus entirely on “ball mastery” - 1v1 dribbling, receiving, and short passing. Fayyadh's coach briefed me that “Ages 10 to 12 (The Golden Age of Learning): Accelerate skill acquisition. This is the critical window to master core skills like scanning the pitch before receiving, executing quick aerial controls & refining two-footed mechanics. Ortan trained children into highly competitive players.”

I am aware that preparing a child to become a future Malaysian football player requires a structured pathway that aligns with the National Football Development Program (NFDP) framework. To transition from grassroots fun to elite academies like Ortan FC Cyberjaya, a young player like Fayyadh's growth must be systematically managed across specific training and developmental stages.
