The Ford Ranger line-up gets updated in Malaysia for 2026 and beyond.

Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford (Auto ConneXion-Ford), the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, has officially launched an expanded Ford Ranger line-up with the introduction of the latest Ranger Platinum, Ranger Sport, and Ranger XL variants.

The arrival of the three new choices reinforces the pick-up truck’s market leadership as local consumer expectations shift, with drivers increasingly seeking vehicles that balance commercial capability with everyday commuting, family mobility, and outdoor lifestyle needs.

Three Distinct Variants Tailored to Modern Lifestyle and Business Needs

Engineered to offer up to 1,000 kg payload capacity, up to 3,500 kg towing capability, and an 800 mm water-wading depth, the expanded Ranger range utilizes advanced mechanical systems including the 10-Speed Automatic with SelectShift Transmission, Electronic Shift-on-the-Fly (ESOF), and Electromagnetic Transfer Case (EMTC).

Inside, the cabin features a 12-inch Multi-Touchscreen Display Head Unit equipped with Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Electronic Dual-Zone Climate Control, and up to four USB charging ports.

Positioned as the flagship variant, the new Ranger Platinum is tailored for business owners and professionals seeking elevated refinement.

• Engine & Output: Powered by a 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine delivering 250 PS at 3,250 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

• Exterior & Interior Highlights: Features an exclusive Platinum grille, 20-inch alloy wheels, a Flexible Rack System, and an exclusive Acacia Green exterior shade. New Parts Hub Established in Kota Kinabalu, East Malaysia

To support long-term aftersales convenience across East Malaysia, Auto ConneXion-Ford has established a dedicated East Malaysia Parts Hub in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Operating as an extension of the Central Parts Hub in Shah Alam, the facility begins phased operations on 27 July 2026.

Holding an initial inventory of approximately 1,000 fast-moving genuine Ford and Motorcraft components, the hub will serve nine authorized sales and service touchpoints across East Malaysia. The localized supply chain is expected to significantly reduce parts lead times, enabling same-day delivery for selected fast-moving parts within the Kota Kinabalu area.

The expanded Ford Ranger line-up is now available for booking at 33 authorized Ford dealer locations nationwide. As part of a limited launch promotion running through 31 August 2026:
