INTERNATIONAL firm Total Advanced Future Technology Pte. Ltd (TAFT) is investing in a P3.6-billion manufacturing facility at the Light Industry and Science Park IV (LISP IV) in Malvar, Batangas, the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) said on Monday.
The firm will specialize in high-tech, climate-resilient houses for the Japanese market and will also engage in the packaging and export of complete housing products, including components, parts, and accessories, PEZA noted as Director General Tereso Panga met with TAFT officials recently.
The company will sign a registration agreement with PEZA upon the issuance of the presidential proclamation.
Phase 1 of the project will cover 13 hectares at LISP IV. It is expected to generate over $120 million in annual export revenues.
TAFT will likewise open a warehouse at its facility.
“As PEZA pursues its target of proclaiming 30 ecozones this year, we remain committed to regional development and inclusive economic growth, ensuring that projects like TAFT’s bring tangible benefits to Filipino communities,” Panga said.
After approving a record high of P260.89 billion in investment projects in 2025, PEZA is aiming for P300 billion this year.
