
TAWAU: Police apprehended a foreigner suspected of breaking into a house in Tawau Lama in February.
Tawau District Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the 39-year-old man was caught during a raid in Tawau Lama, Jalan Pantai around 3pm on Saturday.
The man is suspected to have been responsible for the crime based on close circuit television footages obtained from the home owner.
He stated that police initially got a police report on the house break in, which entailed various important documents going missing, including the victim’s child’s identity card, which was kept inside a handbag.
The victim’s driver’s license, car keys, cash, and handphone were also missing.
During the arrest, police also seized a handphone believed to be the victim’s.
