Nottingham Forest have confirmed changes to their first team coaching setup.

The City Ground club have sacked Steve Cooper with immediate effect and brought in a replacement.

Nuno Espirito Santo will take over as first team head coach with immediate effect.

Cooper's assistant coach, Alan Tate, is also leaving the club and will not be a part of the new setup.

The same is true for goalkeeping coach Danny Alcock and head of sport science David Tivey.

The club stated: The trio depart with the club's best wishes, and we extend our thanks to them for their incredible contribution during their time at the City Ground.

First team coach Steven Reid and head of performance analysis Steve Rands will remain at the club, whilst further discussions with first team coach Andy Reid will be held over the festive period."
