Nottingham Forest burned off competition from Manchester City for Murillo.
The young stopper has been outstanding for Forest in recent games.
The Nottingham Post says Forest beat Manchester City to the signing of Murillo over the summer from Corinthians.
Forest paid 10.4m for the 21-year-old, with a further 2.6m due in add-ons.
