Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper was delighted with his players for victory at Chelsea
Anthony Elanga struck to give Forest the shock win.
Cooper later said, "We did (execute my gameplan) to be fair. Credit to the players for that. You don't come here and plan to dominate possession but you do know if you come here and do certain things well you can create chances.
"We were good for the clean sheet and we probably missed the chance of the half in the first half and how tactically well we were set up when we won the ball. T with the assist and Anthony with the finish, it something we prepared for.
"A long overdue away result, and pleased for the fans.
"We felt we could dominate duels. We felt if we got things right on set pieces that could happen but I don't think you get to this club and this level if you aren't a competitor, you need to be the whole package.
"That's a non-negotiable to compete but at the same time they are full of quality and to see how we stood up to that, and the decision making was really good. I've not thought about that too much because I was thinking about our own guys."
