Nottingham Forest are closing on an agreement for Fluminense defender Nino.
The Mirror says negotiations are underway over a fee of 7m between the two clubs.
The central defender and Forest reportedly reached an agreement a few days ago.
Forest face being badly hit by the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations. Six players will be taking part in the tournament. As such, Nino's signing is to be completed as quickly as possible.
The 26-year-old defender was also linked with Liverpool and Eintracht Frankfurt. But he is happy committing to Forest.
