Zainoor Juma'at, 45, who also serves as the president of the parent-teacher association at a secondary school in Rengit, pleaded not guilty after the charge was read by the court interpreter before Sessions Court Judge Sayani Mohd Nor.

He is accused of touching the victim's body with sexual intent at a swimming pool in Sri Gading, Batu Pahat, at around 6pm on July 25, and is charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

Zainoor, a father of four, faces a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping if convicted.
