FORMER Defence Intelligence director-general Datuk Mohd Razali Alias of the Malaysian Armed Forces arrived at the Sessions Court here at 8.30am on Thursday to face corruption charges.
Mohd Razali, who was dressed in a suit, appeared calm as he was escorted by several individuals, including his lawyers and officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
Court records show that Mohd Razali was charged before Sessions Court judge Suzana Hussin at 9am, while another accused person was brought before judge Rosli Ahmad at the same time in a separate proceeding.
The case follows an announcement made on Jan 22 by MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki, who said that two additional senior Malaysian Armed Forces officers holding the title Datuk would be charged with corruption this week.
He said investigation papers had already been submitted to the Attorney General’s Chambers and that feedback on the charges would be obtained in the near future. - January 29, 2026
