Former Prince Andrew to give evidence in court case over alleged threat

  • Alex Jenkinson, 39, has denied using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor near his home on the Sandringham Estate.
  • The alleged incident occurred on Wednesday near Mountbatten-Windsor's Marsh Farm property in Wolferton, with Jenkinson appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
  • Jenkinson pleaded guilty to failing to provide a blood specimen while in custody but denied a separate charge of threatening behaviour against another man in King’s Lynn.
  • He was granted conditional bail, prohibiting him from approaching Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor or visiting several royal family residences, including Sandringham and Buckingham Palace.
  • Jenkinson's trial is scheduled for 29 July, where Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is expected to give evidence via video link.
