Former TV chef releases first-ever single ‘Scottish Whisky’

  • Former TV chef Marco Pierre White has released his debut single, titled ‘Scottish Whisky’, in collaboration with father-son duo Chris and Reece Wilson.
  • The spoken-word track features White reciting lyrics over an electric guitar riff in a tribute to Scotland's national drink.
  • When asked why he wanted to work on a single, White told The Times: “If you have a dream, then you have a responsibility to yourself. If you don’t make your dream come true, then you’re just a fantasist.”
  • White became one of the youngest British chefs to earn three Michelin stars in 1995, before stepping away from daily kitchen work in 1999.
  • It comes after Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins released his first-ever album of classical music at the age of 88, saying: “Music was my first desire.”
