Four arrested in Penang murder case involving body in suitcase

BUTTERWORTH: Police have arrested four individuals in connection with the murder investigation of a man found stuffed in a suitcase near Ampang Jajar Flats.

Penang police chief Datuk Azizee Ismail confirmed the arrests of two men and two women aged between 24 and 32 years old.

The suspects were apprehended separately in several locations across Penang and Perak yesterday.

All four have been remanded for seven days to assist with the murder investigation.

Azizee stated he will provide further details on the arrests and case developments during a media conference tomorrow.

The conference will be held at the Penang police contingent headquarters.

The victim was previously identified as 31-year-old insurance agent Lee Boon Han.

Lee had been reported missing by his family on October 8.

His body was discovered inside a suitcase near Ampang Jajar Flats in Permatang Pauh on October 9. – Bernama
